Elite TV World News was present to capture the honoring service for Navajo Nation President Ben Shelly in Shiprock, NM this past Saturday, July 2nd 2011. Pres Ben Shelly was awarded with an Honorary Doctorate for Humanities by the United Graduate College and Seminary for his good works and efforts towards benefitting the well being and economy of his people. Dr. Clyde Rivers Jr., Chief Chancellor of UGCS and Honorary Ambassador Special Advisor to the Republic of Burundi, and Dr. Robert Ornelas, Top Advisor of Youth Development for the Republic of Burundi Africa and Head of 'Honor Africa International -- North America Division' were both present to perform the service for the President. The evening begun with a private dinner with the President, Former Vice President Kelsey A. Begay, Ralph Dee Jr, Dr. Rivers, Dr. Ornelas and groups that were performing at the concert that evening. Following the special dinner and interviews came the police escort for the President by the Sheriff's Department, Farmington and Shiprock Police Departments. The escort entailed a 30 mile stretch of travel and all that were involved included a local biker group, the President, special guests, and the artists; all of about 20 vehicles and 30 bikers! The evening was memorable! At the Shiprock Fairgrounds where the ceremony was held the President was given his award and a speech was given to encourage his people. The evening closed with a concert in honor of the President. Groups from all over the continent and Canada came to perform including: Johnny Curtis (AZ), The S.O.G. Crew (CA) and others. Ben Shelly, President of the Navajo Nation, is being honored by United Graduate College and Seminary July 2, 2011 in Farmington New Mexico, USA. He is being honored with the Honorary Doctorate Degree in Humanities, for his strong stance as a national advocate for health and education for the tribal nations across the United States. President Shelly has a very influential voice to the Democratic Party of the United States.

Dr. Robert Ornelas, a major player on the leadership team for Dr. Rivers' organization, was the instigator behind this honorable occasion. Dr. Ornales is also receiving an appointment as an Ambassador for the Navajo Nation. Dr. Rivers said, " Dr. Ornales, a big congratulations to you for this prestigious appointment.
